Symptoms

Rattlesnakes, copperheads, cottonmouth water moccasins, and coral snakes are all poisonous snakes. When bitten, individuals may exhibit varied symptoms. Coarse symptoms consist of swelling at the site of the bite, bloody wound disCharge, and fang marks in the skin. The bite will cause severe localized pain which may consist of a burning sensation. Physicians will use antivenin. Antivenin is an antidote to snake venom used for serious bites. Prevention

There are many measures that can be taken to preclude injury from a snake. If you see a snake, leave it alone. Many people are bitten when they try to kill a snake. When walking in tall grass, wear thick leather boots and stay on the hiking paths. Do not purposely invade the snake's territory. Be cautious when climbing through rocky areas and picking up firewood.
